The next public meeting of the Financial Literacy and Education Commission will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C. Secretary of the Treasury Steven T. Mnuchin will chair the meeting.  Peggy G. Carr, Acting Commissioner for the National Center for Education Statistics, U.S. Department of Education, will provide an overview of the latest results of the 2015 Programme for International Assessment (PISA) for the U.S. 15-year-old students' financial literacy competencies.  A discussion on implications for the U.S., featuring Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OEDC) and Dr. Carly Urban, Montana State University, will follow. The agenda will also cover recent and planned Commission activities. 


Meeting Registration & Deadline

Registration will close on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 or when we reach capacity. 

To register, attendees will need to provide a full name, date of birth, and Social Security Number. For entry into the building on the date of the meeting, attendees must present a government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, which includes a photo.  We will not be able to confirm your clearance into the building until close to the event.  The agenda will also be provided on this website.
