Secretary Blinken Meets with Foreign Ministers of Israel and United Arab Emirates
On October 13, Secretary Blinken met the foreign ministers of Israel and the United Arab Emirates in bilateral meetings, as well as in a trilateral format. This trilateral meeting highlighted our continued celebration of the first anniversary of the Abraham Accords and normalization agreements. "We believe that normalization can and should be a force for progress, not only between Israel and Arab countries and other countries in the region and beyond, but also between Israelis and Palestinians," Secretary Blinken in his remarks to the press following the meeting (transcript, video).

U.S.-G20 Meeting on Afghanistan
"We're united with our allies and partners in supporting the people of Afghanistan," Secretary Blinken on Twitter. At the meeting, leaders discussed the critical need to maintain a laser-focus on our enduring counterterrorism efforts, including against threats from ISIS-K, and ensuring safe passage for those foreign nationals and Afghan partners with documentation seeking to depart Afghanistan. U.S. Donation of 3.5 Million Vaccine Doses to Nigeria
The United States delivered an additional 3,577,860 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to Nigeria, in collaboration with the @_AfricanUnion and @gavi #COVAX. These vaccines will protect millions of people in Nigeria as we continue working toward our goal of defeating COVID-19.
