Taking a Whole Candidate Approach to Improve Our Foreign Service Officer Talent Search! | ||
The U.S. Department of State continues to modernize its hiring process to create a more inclusive workforce that hires the best talent and represents America's rich diversity. Beginning with the June 2022 test, which is open for application from April 25-June 2, the process for evaluating candidates to become Foreign Service Officers will end the use of the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) as a single gateway to applying. Instead, everyone who applies and completes the FSOT will move forward to the Qualifications Evaluation Panel (QEP), when a panel will review the full application package for eligible candidates. The full application package includes a candidate's completed application, Personal Narratives (PNs), FSOT score, and FSOT essays. Successful QEP candidates will receive an invitation to the Foreign Service Oral Assessment (FSOA). Apply for the FSOT today! |
