Update: Learning Aids for Creating a my SSA Account Now Available
Social Security Administration sent this bulletin at 12/11/2014 10:28 AM ESTAs previously mentioned, one requirement for accessing the upcoming new Ticket Portal – which will replace the current Secure Provider Portal in 2015 – is the creation of a my SSA Account with extra security.
There are several nuances to creating an account and adding the extra security with which users may need additional support.
For this reason the Operations Support Manager is releasing the three videos below to guide you through the initial creation of an account and adding the extra security.
- Creating a my SSA Account as a New User: This video details how to create a my SSA account by going tohttp://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/
- Adding Extra Security to an Existing my SSA Account: In this video individuals with an existing my SSA Account will learn how to add the extra security that is required to access the Ticket Portal.
- Verification Process for Adding Extra Security to a my SSA Account: Once you have created a my SSA Account and chosen the extra security option, the Social Security Administration will send you a letter containing an account upgrade code within 5 – 10 business days. This video walks users through how to enter the account upgrade code and proceed further.
