SSA OIG Releases Semiannual Report to Congress

The Social Security Administration (SSA) Office of the Inspector General has published its latest Semiannual Report to Congress.
During this reporting period, our work resulted in more than $201 million in monetary accomplishments, 232 indictments and informations, 221 convictions, and more than $2.6 billion in potential cost savings associated with unimplemented recommendations.
The report highlights the impact of our audits, investigations, and outreach efforts to safeguard SSA programs, protect beneficiaries, and ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.
