Social Security Administration Actuarial Publications Update

A new memorandum providing the estimated actuarial effect on the financial status of the OASDI program from a legislative proposal is now available on the Office of the Chief Actuary’s website (https://www.ssa.gov/OACT/solvency/index.html):     

• April 14, 2025 - Estimate of the Financial Effects on Social Security of enacting the “You Earned It, You Keep It Act,” introduced on April 14, 2025by Representative Angie Craig. The estimates provided in this memorandum reflect the intermediate assumptions of the 2024 Trustees Report and an updated baseline that incorporates the effects of Public Law 118-273, the Social Security Fairness Act of 2023.
