New Wage Reporting Application in my Social Security
Social Security Administration sent this bulletin at 06/28/2018 04:44 PM EDTOn June 2, 2018, Social Security added new capabilities to my Social Security accounts. The my Social Security online portal now accepts wage reports electronically from Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients and deemors, concurrent beneficiaries and representative payees. These individuals can also print or save a receipt of their reports. Previously, this capability was available only to Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries and their representative payees.
This new application makes it possible for your Ticketholders who receive SSI or concurrent benefits to avoid visits to a field office to report wages in person and to print or save a receipt. Ticketholders and their representative payees must still contact an office to report when they first start working for each new employer. It is also important to note that representative payees are able to report wages, but will not have access to Ticketholders’ other information.
Please encourage all of your Ticketholders to create a my Social Security account to submit their wages online today!
