Work (Ticket) program recently published Sandy’s Ticket to
Work Success Story. Sandy found passion working with youth, but a car crash
meant that Sandy needed to rethink her career path. The Ticket program gave her

After leaving the foster care system and
finding herself homeless, Sandy struggled to find a path to work and to
financial independence. She found both working with youth at a juvenile
lock up facility.
But when a car crash took her out of work, Sandy began receiving Social
Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. She wanted to achieve
financial independence through work and set new career goals for herself. A
Ticket to Work service provider helped her reach them.
