Social Security’s Virtual Job Fair 3/16/16 – Spotlight Jobs Attached

Social Security’s Ticket to Work Virtual Job Fair is just a few days away. Participate in the job fair on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET. This virtual job fair will feature job openings in District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico.

The Virtual Job Fair will connect Ticket participants with federal contractors who are particularly interested in hiring individuals with disabilities in these locations.  The Ticket Program Manager (TPM) is coordinating the event and is pleased to announce we will have 30 employers participating.  A complete list of participating employers along with a description of each with links to their job sites can be found at https://yourtickettowork.com/web/ttw/resource-documents. Scroll down to find the heading Virtual Job Fair

Attached is a list of the Spotlight Jobs that participating employers have posted in their virtual booths. In addition, each employer will have a link to their job site with all of their job openings.

We have developed a flyer for you to use to outreach to your beneficiaries. You can download it herehttp://www.chooseworkttw.net/Assets/uploads/VJF/2016-03_VJFFlyer_V4.pdf

Job-ready beneficiary clients who have assigned their tickets to you may participate.  Please have them complete the consent form at www.choosework.net/vjfconsent, and submit it to you to keep on file. Then, either register the clients at https://vts.inxpo.com/Launch/QReg.htm?ShowKey=30226 or provide the link to them so that they can register directly.  Please ask your beneficiary clients not to share the link with anyone else. A consent form MUST be on file in your office for beneficiary clients to participate. Registration will close on March 14 at midnight ET.

Note that by completing the consent form, a beneficiary consents to Social Security sharing his or her resume, Virtual Job Fair profile and any other information he or she provides in connection with the job fair (e.g., via chat sessions) with other participants in the Social Security  Ticket to Work Virtual Job Fair, including but not limited to potential employers.

Social Security is eager for your and your job-ready beneficiary clients’ participation. If  you have beneficiaries who are seeking jobs in these locations, please don’t delay in getting them registered. Please email vjf@choosework.net with any questions!
