Social Security Administration HQ Operational Status has changed

Social Security Administration (SSA) offices at headquarters and in the Baltimore Metropolitan area will be closed Tuesday, January 26, 2016 except for emergency personnel. ITC and Falls Church offices should continue to monitor and follow OPM guidance. Because the worksite will be closed January 26th for the full workday, teleworkers will receive admin leave for the entire workday. The only exception to this guidance is for teleworking employees covered by the NTEU or IFPTE contracts. Those NTEU and IFPTE employees are required to complete a full workday when the worksite is closed for the full day.

Employees should check operating status before reporting to work on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
