Technical Bulletin: Ticket Portal Rollout Is Coming Soon
Social Security Administration sent this bulletin at 05/26/2015 12:11 PM EDTWe are happy to announce that we will welcome those who are enrolled in the new Ticket Portal to begin using it in a couple weeks. The Ticket Portal represents an important customer service improvement to help you serve Ticket beneficiaries more efficiently and preserve administrative resources. Do you currently use Interactive Voice Response (IVR), MoveIT, or the Secure Provider Portal but have not yet begun to prepare for the transition to the Ticket Portal? Are there individuals at your Employment Network (EN) or State Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agency that have yet to complete the necessary steps to access the Ticket Portal?
Now is the time to complete the process of enrolling in the Ticket Portal. If you are enrolled before June 15, you will be able to take advantage of the benefits of being one of the first users to enter the Ticket Portal next month. For example, if you are enrolled during the June-July timeframe, you will have the advantage of the special technical assistance sessions planned for onboarding new Ticket Portal users during the rollout period.
As you may know by now, the new Ticket Portal connects directly to Social Security’s Ticket to Work system, allowing you to perform transactions in real time. Within minutes you will know if your Ticket assignments, unassignments and case openings and closures were accepted by the system. An EN payment request submitted in the new Ticket Portal creates a work case that goes directly to a payment specialist’s queue for processing. To experience these time-saving benefits, please see which group you fit into below and initiate or complete your enrollment today!
If you have delayed enrollment in the new Ticket Portal, you will experience a lapse in your ability to perform transactions electronically. Beginning June 15, if you are not enrolled, you will have to complete manual processes for Ticket assignments and unassignments, EN payments, etc. This is because the Secure Provider Portal will no longer have the ability to accept your transactions. You will still be able to query the Secure Provider Portal for reports and other information until Tuesday, June 30. The Secure Provider Portal will cut off after Tuesday, June 30. You will be able to request Ticket assignability information outside of the Ticket Portal only for a limited time pending your enrollment, so we urge you to enroll in the new Ticket Portal to receive the best service possible, particularly if currently you depend on the Secure Provider Portal.
