The SBA’s Sacramento District Office is proud to announce it is accepting nominations for 2023 National Small Business Week Awards.
Winners will be honored during National Small Business Week (April 30 - May 6, 2023).
National Award Categories
National Small Business Week award nomination categories include:
- Small Business Person of the Year Award
- Small Business Exporter of the Year
- Phoenix Award for Small Business Disaster Recovery
- Phoenix Award for Small Business Disaster Mitigation
- Phoenix Award for Outstanding Contributions to Disaster Recovery - Public Official
- Phoenix Award for Outstanding Contributions to Disaster Recovery - Volunteer
- Federal Procurement Award - Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award
- Federal Procurement Award - Small Business Subcontractor of the Year Award
- Federal Procurement Award - Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence
- 8(a) Graduate of the Year Award
- Small Business Development Center Excellence and Innovation Award
- Veterans Business Outreach Center Excellence in Service Award
- Women's Business Center of the Year Excellence Award
- Small Business Investment Company of the Year
Sacramento District Award Categories
The SBA Sacramento District Office will be awarding individuals and small businesses in each of the following categories:
- Contractor
- Entrepreneur
- Family-Owned Small Business
- Minority Small Business Champion
- Non-profit
- Start-up
- Veteran-Owned Small Business
- Women-Owned Small Business
Steps to submit a nomination
Below are the steps to submit a nomination:
- Review the National guidelines and instructions
- All nominees are required to complete and sign SBA Background Form 3300.
- Complete the Small Business Person of the Year Application Form 3301 or the Small Business Exporter of the Year Application Form 3302
- A digital headshot photo (NO visible company logos) – at least 300 dpi is required
- Review the Sacramento District NSBW award guidelines (sba.gov) (this is where you will find the criteria for district awards)
- Complete the District Office Award Application Form 3315 (identify the district award category)
- Complete and sign the Release of Materials Form
- Attach any other significant documentation (such as a nomination letter, letters of recommendation, etc.) not to exceed 10 pages
- Upload everything to our BOX account. All nominations must be submitted electronically to the U.S. Small Business Administration BOX account in the state or territory where the nominee is located. BOX account information is available at National Small Business Week Awards.
Important: Answer all the questions in detail on forms 3300, 3301/3302 and 3315 – your answers are very important when it comes to judging the business!
A complete nomination package must be received electronically via our BOX account by December 8, 2022, 2pm CT.
