The South Dakota District Office visited downtown Sioux Falls for an event promoting Small Business Saturday. Mayor Paul Tenhaken kicked off the event proclaiming Saturday, November 26th as Small Business Saturday. Joe Batcheller, President of Downtown Sioux Falls, led a panel of small business owners and questions and comments came from District Director Jaime Wood and SDDO's Resource Partners, Daniel Cook, Sioux Falls Small Business Development Center and Sadie Swier, SDCEO East Women's Business Center.

The National Small Business Week Awards are back! SBA is now accepting nominations for its 2023 National Small Business Week Awards, including the Small Business Person of the Year. A complete nomination package must be received electronically via BOX by December 8, 2022, 3pm ET. You answers should be in detail on forms 3301 and 3315 – it’s very important when it comes to judging the business!
