 NH Procurement Technical Assistance Center
Happy PTAC Day to our NH team! The NH Procurement Technical Assistance Center (NH-PTAC) is an amazing resource for NH businesses looking to enter or expand their government contracting market. We are lucky to have them as friends and partners in our goal of expanding small business opportunities and success in this market.
The New Hampshire Procurement Technical Center (PTAC) is a free service for New Hampshire businesses seeking to bid on, and win, government contracts. Its experienced team of counselors works with clients every day, from large Primes seeking specialized sub-contractors, to small businesses offering products and services state, regional and federal governments need to buy.
The statistics NH PTAC compiles annually illustrate the importance of government contracting to the state's economy.
Over the past year, the NH PTAC team:
- Provided over 1,000 hours of one-on-one counseling to 280 active clients.
- Produced 36 technical webinars.
- Hosted five technical presentations sponsored by other agencies.
- Conducted five outreach events.
- Earned an average score of 95 percent in client satisfaction surveys.
Prime contractors - those working directly with the government - last year were awarded:
- $1.5 billion to all New Hampshire companies.
- $1.1 billion to NH PTAC clients
- $109 million to NH PTAC active small business clients.
Subcontract awards to NH PTAC active small business clients totaled over $20 million.
Government Contracting Each year, local, state, and federal governments award to businesses billions of dollars in contracts for the goods and services they need to operate. These are great clients to have, but unlike regular B2B, contracting with the government involves multifaceted processes and procedures, to ensure transparency and fairness.
To assist businesses with the process of bidding on, and winning, government contracts, the New Hampshire Procurement Technical Assistance Center provides expertise for contracting and subcontracting opportunities. This includes the Department of Defense and other federal agencies, as well as state and local governments.
Business counseling and seminars are free to businesses of all sizes physically located in New Hampshire. For more information, call 603-271-7581 or via email.
