Support National Farmers Market Week

National Farmers Market Week is from Aug 7 to 13 and it is a great opportunity to show the state how much value markets bring to Vermont communities.

Yesterday Susan Mazza, SBA Vermont Deputy Director, wasn’t going to let a little rain get in the way of buying lasagna from Dudija Karie, Mediterranean Mix, and supporting National Farmers Week.

Tomorrow is the last day of National Farmers Market Week, so be like Susan and support your local famers market.

Elevate VT Application Opens

Governor Phil Scott and the Department of Economic Development announced the launch of Elevate Vermont, the state’s first Technology-Based Economic Development program designed to catalyze growth in Vermont’s high tech business sector through increased access to targeted technical and research assistance. The goal of Elevate Vermont is to help accelerate early-stage tech companies and help established small businesses remain relevant in a global market.

The program will support early-stage tech startups seeking non-dilutive funding through the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants. Eligible Vermont companies accepted into the Elevate Vermont program will receive one-on-one SBIR/STTR application assistance from an expert advisor. The application for Technical Assistance is now open and accepting submissions on a rolling basis until funding is depleted.
