SBA NH is Celebrating 'SBA Day’ and ‘69 Years of Helping Small Businesses Thrive’

SBA Day

NH District office staff reflections:
Working at SBA is the only career in my professional life and the mission still resonates with me as strongly as it did when I started 32 years ago. We are fortunate to be in the field and to personally interact with small businesses, lenders, and our partners daily. We see firsthand the impact of the SBA and how valuable our programs can be in helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams and succeed. I am frequently in awe of the entrepreneurial spirit that so many have. I am fortunate to be able to do this great and meaningful work in a State that I call home. -- Amy Bassett, NH District Director

A career at the SBA is time well spent. You get to help people access the resources they need to make their dreams a reality and watch them create and sustain a vibrant small business community, jobs and careers for their employees, and a great state to work and live in. It has been a privilege to serve the NH small business community over the last 3+ decades and work with tremendous partners and fellow employees to bring small business owners’ access to capital, new markets, and technical assistance. -- Rachael Roderick, Deputy District Director

What an experience working with SBA. It is exciting to work with small businesses in either startups or existing businesses that are looking to expand. I especially enjoy my work helping Veterans and their spouses. In my 31 years with SBA, I have worked with astounding SBA partners and state, city, and town officials. I applaud the SBA for their leadership in implementing programs that assist and protect the interests of small business concerns. -- Miguel A. Moralez, EDS & VBDO

Working at SBA for the last 30 years had been an amazing journey! I started out in Headquarters and transferred to the NH District Office in 1994. From working with such dedicated staff and our resource partners to supporting small businesses on a daily basis, especially through the pandemic, has been very rewarding. I look forward to continued support and new opportunities in helping the local small businesses. -- Warren D. Haggerty, EDS

Working for the SBA is motivational. You feel the enthusiasm, drive, and hunger for success with new entrepreneurs. You get to visit small businesses and learn about the start, the journey, and their vision. It makes me happy connecting small business owners to other small business owners and to the resources that can help them succeed. The best feeling is knowing they are living their dream and we are there to help them. And in the past 5 yrs. working for the SBA, I have been able to make new friends wherever we go. -- Cheryl A. Croto, Public Affairs Specialist

I find working with small businesses and the SBA lending community very rewarding. Being able to assist an individual in fulfilling their dreams of being a business owner is extremely satisfying for me. Watching a big dream turn into a big reality is what it’s all about. Small businesses keep America going. -- Tuesday Belanger, Lender Relations Specialist
