Presenter Bio:
Alistair Stewart is an alumnus of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) center in Chicago. He rejoined the MEP system in 2015 as MMEC’s Specialist for Billings and then Bozeman. His non-MEP experience includes leveraging operational excellence to accelerate & improve portfolio company performance for private equity investors, including consulting practice leadership with Giga Information Group (now Forrester), and positions of increasing responsibility with firms such as Baxter Healthcare, British Gas, and British Technology Group.
Alistair holds a Master of Science degree in Managerial Communication from Northwestern University. He is Montana’s only Certified Exit Planning Advisor, and holds additional professional credentials in Innovation, Lean, and Six Sigma. He serves as a Senior Advisor at an Investment Banking firm focused on the lower middle market, and as an Advisor to one of the country’s leading Transition Readiness consultancies.

Assistance for Business Clinics Resume in Person this June
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Department's Assistance for Business Clinics are returning! These in-person information sessions provide business owners, accountants, bookkeepers, human resource professionals, and attorneys with updated information on various topics important to businesses of all sizes.
Topics include unemployment insurance tax requirements, workers’ compensation coverage, Independent Contractor regulations, tax incentives, minimum wage and overtime rules, new hire reporting, and USERRA laws and regulations.
The first series of clinics will be held in June in the following towns:
• Great Falls -- June 8th
• Lewistown -- June 9th
• Miles City -- June 14th
• Sidney -- June 15th
• Wolf Point -- June 16th.

Quarterly Strategic Teaming Alliance Roundtables

PLEASE JOIN US: June 16, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time) in the second of a series of STAR roundtables designed to assist small businesses navigate and benefit from doing business with the federal government and large federal contractors (often referred to as Primes)! Connect with panelists from a variety of large and small businesses currently successfully performing as prime and subcontractors. Learn helpful tips to assist you in achieving your government contracting goals.
This is a series of events and new panelists will provide unique information at each roundtable!
What: The Strategic Teaming Alliance Roundtable is a resource for small businesses to learn how to team up and/or bid on government contracts available on or near the missile wing Air Force bases and beyond.
When: 8 am MST, the third month of each quarter on the third Thursday. Future dates will be September 15 and December 15.
Who: June 16, 2022 ~ Representatives from Northrop Grumman Corporation, Draper Labs, Lockheed Martin, and 4M Research will showcase large federal contractors and small businesses currently doing business with either Northrop or subcontractors. Also joining the June Star will be Angela Klein, Director of Business Operations/Small Business Specialist Minot AFB will be on the call.
