The Business Enterprise Program (BEP) for Minority, Women-Owned, and Persons with disabilities (M/W/PBE) and the Veteran Business Program expands minority, women, persons with disabilities, veterans and service-disabled veteran entrepreneurs' opportunities to access government contracts and grow their businesses. The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program is designed to remedy ongoing discrimination and the continuing effects of past discrimination in federally-assisted highway, transit, airport, and highway safety financial assistance transportation contracting markets nationwide.
