Apply For SBA's Executive Entrepreneurship Training Class

The Small Business Administration is accepting applications for a free executive entrepreneurship training series slated to begin in the summer.  

Over six months, ambitious small business owners will learn how to accelerate their growth through targeted training from leaders in small business development and work with a network of experienced subject matter experts in core business topics like accounting, business strategy, marketing, and human resources. 

The T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined training series includes in-person coaching, self-paced instruction, mentoring and classroom time.

Small Business Exporting Grant Opportunity April 27

The Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development, and the Small Business Administration are hosting a webinar at 10 a.m. April 27 about the State Trade Expansion Program.

Through awards to the state, STEP assists Vermont small businesses overcome obstacles to exporting by providing grants to cover costs associated with entering and expanding into international markets, such as foreign trade missions, export training, compliance, IT support and more. Since the program was established in 2010, Vermont has received more than $2.3 million in STEP grants.

The webinar will also highlight programs offered by the U.S. Export Assistance Center and Export-Import Bank of U.S.

Why Do Business With The Federal Government Webinar April 27

Babson College’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Small Business Administration is hosting Why Do Business with the Federal Government webinar at noon April 27. 

During this online session, you will learn all of the information and steps a business needs to get “procurement-ready.” There will also be an open Q&A at the end of the webinar to make sure businesses are on track for federal projects. Small businesses received nearly $370 Billion of federal contract dollar awards in 2021.

BIPOC Business Roundtables

The Vermont Partnership for Fairness & Diversity is hosting a series of virtual BIPOC business roundtables. These roundtables will inform recommendations to the State of Vermont on how best to support BIPOC business development.

Each hourlong roundtable will have between 8 to 12 participants. Curtiss Reed, Jr., President & CEO of the CRJ Consulting Group, L3C, will facilitate each roundtable. Key findings will be shared with our growing list of over 500 BIPOC-owned businesses and relevant State agencies.
