On Friday January 14th, New England Regional Administrator Mike Vlacich and NH DD Amy Bassett welcomed Administrator Isabella Guzman to New Hampshire. The visit was prompted by Congressman Chris Pappas who hosted a small business forum at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, a $2.9mm SVOG recipient. Along with Administrator Guzman, Mayor Joyce Craig, RA Mike Vlacich, Greater Manchester Chamber Director Mike Skelton, DD Amy Bassett and DDD Rachael Roderick joined the forum where they heard from small businesses regarding the various SBA programs that helped them through the pandemic. Earlier in the day Senator Maggie Hassan joined Congressman Pappas, Administrator Guzman, SBA NH DO staff and partners for a visit to Derry, NH with a tour of SVOG recipient Derry Opera House and Grind Café a recipient of RRF, PPP, and EIDL.

Join Tuesday Belanger of 'Tuesday Talks' as she introduces the New Hampshire SBA District Office staff and hear about all the great and amazing things that happened in 2021. The Year in Review will include statistical data from the number of loans issued, the various outreach efforts we completed, and the goals we have forecasted and planned to assist our NH small businesses in 2022.

As the NH SBA celebrates Black History Month, this year we will pay tribute and honor the men and women who have made impacts in our local communities. We will have some special guests (to be announced) from within the NH community to help us honor this special event. Be ready to have fun, learn and hear about what resources and tools are available to our minority-owned businesses. We will continue to encourage everyone to shop small, but also to shop minority-owned.
Be on the look out for the listing of special guests, as we will be adding to it.

The SBA's Boots to Business is a two-step online training program introducing veterans and transitioning service members to business ownership. This 2-day workshop helps ensure that every participant has access to a standardized entrepreneurship training track and the small business resources in their local communities. Any veteran, spouse, and/or dependent children over 18 are welcome to participate. After completing the session, participants will have the tools and knowledge they need to identify a business opportunity, draft a business plan, connect with local small business resources, and launch their small business. The presentation will feature an introduction to “Safety Differently”, also known as Human and Organizational Performance and/ or New View Safety. Within the presentation, we will explore the fundamental principles behind Safety Differently as well as some of its most influential factors, such as Blue Line Black Line theory, pre-accident investigations, and more. Attendees can expect a practitioner’s approach to the presentation as it will be presented in a way that is simplistic, yet involved.
