USDA Small Business 101 Workshop

The United States Department of Agriculture is hosting the USDA Small Business 101 Workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 11 and from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 12. The workshop will provide businesses the information, tools, and resources available to increase access to federal contracting opportunities.  Discussions will primarily focus on an introduction to business requirements and USDA’s effort to expand procurement opportunities to small, rural, minority, women, veteran, and other disadvantaged businesses.

Intro To VT PTAC Jan 12

Join the Vermont Procurement and Technical Center for a webinar a 11 a.m. Jan. 12 to learn how experienced procurement counselors can assist businesses to navigate the sometimes challenging processes of government contracting 

VT PTAC is a government-funded program assisting Vermont businesses to pursue and perform government contracts with the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, state and local governments and with government prime contractors. VT PTAC provides a wide range of free services including individual counseling, proposal assistance, marketing opportunities, training and networking events.

The Vermont Small Business Development Center is hosting a free Start Your Business webinar at 10 a.m. Jan. 13. Gain practical tips and what steps are needed to launch a small business and get answers to many questions. Following the session, attendees will receive additional resources to assist in the process.

EMBRACE Grant for Vermont Microbusiness

In response to COVID-19, the Vermont Community Action Partnership and the Micro Business Development Program established the Economic Micro Business Recovery Assistance for the COVID-19 Epidemic direct grant program. 

EMBRACE issues $5,000 grants to businesses with five or fewer employees.

Grants will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
