Nominations for SBA's National Small Business Week Are Due January 11th, 2022!

Do you know an amazing small business owner in Nebraska who has been in business for at least three years, increased sales and the number of employees between 2017-2019, and received some sort of SBA or resource partner assistance? Or maybe YOU are that amazing small business owner?  Either way, you'll want to get the nomination for the SBA Nebraska Small Business Person of the Year Award in before Jan 11th, 2022!

Basic Eligibility Requirements

  • Any legal resident who owns and operates a small business for a minimum of three years prior to nomination. Partners who jointly own and operate a small business may be nominated as a “team” if the number of individuals in the team does not exceed four (4); and
  • Individuals must have received at least one type of SBA assistance such as, but not limited to, an SBA loan, SCORE counseling, Small Business Development Center (SBDC) assistance, Veteran’s Business Outreach Center (VBOC) assistance, Women’s Business Center (WBC) assistance, government contracting assistance, disaster assistance, Emerging Leaders Initiative, or Boots to Business training.
