The SAM.gov platform has merged the System for Award Management (SAM.gov), Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov), and Federal Procurement Data System -- Next Generation (FPDS-NG.gov) and other sites into one cohesive system. This session will offer a demonstration on how to search for federal contract opportunities, and view contract data.

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is here to help you navigate the California Relief Grant process and we have advisors on call to answer your specific questions as you move through the application process.  

Sign up for live virtual office hours where you can log on, get your question about your specific application answered and then depart and continue with your day. You can register and join the office hours anytime between the hours listed.

You do not need to arrive at the start of Office Hours or depart at the end however please note that when you arrive in the virtual meeting SBDC will take questions on a first come, first serve basis.

Almost all businesses require an infusion of money at some time to start, maintain, or grow. This workshop describes various funding sources and specific criteria used to evaluate funding requests. A SCORE mentor will explain the process for SBA guaranteed loans, as well as talk about local organizations that provide loans to start-ups and existing businesses. Also get tips on crowd-funding, friends and family loans and equity investments from Angel Investors and when Venture Capitalists come in.

This workshop will explain federal and state income taxes for businesses, sales tax and payroll taxes. It will also explain the different income tax implications for a sole proprietorship, LLC, S Corp and C Corp. Other areas covered: business license, AB5, various income tax deductions and retirement plan options.

There are several types of taxes that businesses must pay during the calendar year. Understanding each one of these tax liabilities, being certain to meet the time requirements (and save penalty dollars!) and using all the appropriate information to determine the amount owed is critical to successfully managing your small business.
