 Happy #HispanicHeritageMonth! SBA celebrates the impact Hispanic entrepreneurs have had on the U.S. economy. According to the State of Latino Entrepreneurship 2020 report from the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative:
- Latinos are starting businesses at a faster rate than the national average across almost all industries.
- Before the pandemic, Hispanic-owned employer businesses generated nearly $500 billion in annual revenue and employed 3.4 million people.

SBA Announces Awardees for Two New Women’s Business Centers in Puerto Rico
 On September 13, SBA announced two Women’s Business Centers in Puerto Rico, hosted by Ana G. Méndez University, Gurabo Campus (UAGM-Gurabo) and Friends of Puerto Rico. The two new Women's Business Centers, along with the existing Puerto Rico Women's Business Center, Centro Empresarial para la Mujer, hosted by the Sila M. Calderón Foundation and the Center for Puerto Rico, will increase opportunities and recovery solutions for women entrepreneurs throughout the Island.
 SBA Administrator Isabel Guzman, along with Natalie Cofield, Assistant Administrator for the Office of Women’s Business Ownership, visited with former Governor Sila M. Calderón, founder of Sila M. Calderón Foundation and Center of Puerto Rico, host for the Women's Business Center, Centro Empresarial para la Mujer.
