Women's Equality Day Fireside Chat

Economic Equality for Women Entrepreneurs: A Conversation in Celebration of Women’s Equality Day 2021

Aug. 26, 1 p.m.

Today is Women’s Equality Day, commemorating the 101st anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote, the SBA is hosting a fireside chat featuring a conversation between Isabella Casillas Guzman, 27th Administrator of the SBA, and Assistant Administrator of the Office of Women's Business Ownership, Natalie Madeira Cofield. Opening remarks will be presented by Jennifer Klein, Deputy Assistant to the President, Executive Director and Co-chair of the White House Gender Policy Council.

As the number of women entrepreneurs in the community grows to unprecedented levels, SBA has resources for women small business owners to survive and thrive amid the COVID-19 pandemic, including the SBA’s Women’s Business Center network of 136 centers located across the country.

This panel discussion will be moderatored by Harry Miller of SCORE Mentors, which also made some huge pivots to meet the needs of Minnesota's small businesses. He'll be joined by Minnesota small business owners, Milissa Silva, El Burrito Mercado. Chris Schwartzbauer, EXB Solutions, and Jayme and Erich Winter, Millennium Theater.
