SBA NC Lender Newsletter - August 2021

SBA One Temporary Outage

Starting Monday, August 16th, SBA One will be offline to work through technical issues. Loan origination can be completed in CAFS ETRAN Origination and the PARRiS Scorecard is accessible via the SBA Lender Portal. More information will be communicated after Go Live which is scheduled for August 30th.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact FTA Customer Service at or visit the FTA Wiki.

PPP Direct Forgiveness

As SBA prepares for the launch of the Direct Forgiveness platform, please find a few key reminders:

  • The recorded SBA Direct Forgiveness Webinar is now posted within the Resources section of the platform. In addition, we have posted the new IFR for the COVID Revenue Reduction Score, Direct Borrower Forgiveness Process, and the Appeals Deferment.
  • Live customer service is available only to those lenders participating in the Direct Forgiveness process. The SBA call-center will have the ability to send referral emails to lenders if inbound calls require their attention or follow-up.  SBA is exploring how to make available additional call-center statistics to participating lenders to ensure a high level of borrower satisfaction.
  • The COVID Revenue Reduction Score is also available now within the platform and available via the Forgiveness API. Please note, this score will only be present for those loans which SBA scored and fall within the relevant population (<$150k, 2nd Draw Loans).
  • The updated 3508 forms (3508s, EZ and 3508 full forms) are now available.  Lenders are advised to incorporate these forms into their process as quickly as practical.  The platform already supports the submission of these additional fields.
  • SBA updated the PPP FAQs on July 29 to formally announce the discontinuance of the Loan Necessity Questionnaires (SBA Forms 3509 and 3510). Loan Necessity Questionnaires that SBA has previously requested are no longer required to be submitted to SBA.

Fiscal Transfer Agent (FTA) Updates

FTA Communications have a new look! Moving forward, you can expect to receive information and updates through GovDelivery.

Payment Instruction Changes

On August 30th, 2021, payments made to and from the Fiscal Transfer Agent (FTA) for the 7a loan guarantee program will transition from Colson Services Corp. to Guidehouse.

1502 Reports will be sent to Guidehouse starting in September.

Guidehouse has elected Wells Fargo Bank N.A. (Wells Fargo) as a banking partner to administer and provide banking logistics for the FTA on behalf of SBA. As a result, FTA bank account information will change, and thus, payment remittance instructions must change accordingly.

Please direct questions regarding these or other FTA-transition related matters to
