Employee Retention Tax Credit Training with the IRS

June 30, 9 a.m.

During this webinar, you’ll learn from IRS's Kathleen Fox about the Employee Retention Credit. This program offers a credit on employment taxes to business owners who participate.

Businesses that received PPP loans in 2020 or 2021 can still claim the ERC. While wages used to apply for PPP loan forgiveness cannot also be claimed as ERC wages, remaining wages may be eligible for the credit.

Growth Accelerator Fund Competition, SBIR Catalyst to Award over $5 Million

SBA will award $5 million in prizes via its 6th Annual Growth Accelerator Fund Competition. The program will recognize the nation’s most innovative organizations with inclusive approaches towards supporting entrepreneurs in research and development (R&D)

Track 1-The Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC): Prizes of $50,000 will be awarded to accelerators, incubators, and related entrepreneur programs proposing impactful assistance to STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math)/R&D entrepreneurs whose projects focus on assisting  targeted groups and supporting key policy initiatives.

NEW: Track 2- SBIR Catalyst: For the first time, seven additional prizes of $150,000 will be awarded through SBIR Catalyst to scale collaborative partnerships and build regional collaborations in support of SBIR/STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer) applicants and awardees, fulfilling SBA’s mission of addressing gaps in access to the innovation economy for communities of color, women entrepreneurs, and rural communities.

LGBT Webinar on June 24 at 1 pm EDT

Elevating Small Business Series - LGBTQ+ Focused

Join the SBA on June 24 at 1:00 p.m. EDT for a national online panel discussion with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender-owned small businesses as they share their small business stories and how they used SBA’s economic aid to pivot during the pandemic.

You also will learn about SBA resources available to help entrepreneurs compete in the marketplace: launch or expand businesses; receive counseling; funding opportunities; and help to recover or rebuild from disasters. .
