Get Inspired

James Lessenberry, an animal behaviorist and owner of Animal Learning Systems in suburban Detroit used SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program to save 14 jobs during the pandemic. Animal Learning System is thriving now with increased revenues and a whole new market of dog clients whose behavioral shortcomings became evident during the past year of working from home.

Lessenberry is grateful for the help he received from the SBA and looks forward to many more years of helping families have well-mannered pets. He is just one example of the rich diversity among the LGBTQ+ small business community!
