SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative


Emerging Leaders Program 2021

The deadline to apply for the Emerging Leaders program is Wednesday, April 7.

This free program is a seven-month entrepreneurship education series designed to take small businesses to the next level. It includes approximately 100 hours of class time per participant and expands opportunities for small business owners with access to experienced mentors, workshops, and connections with their peers, city leaders and financial communities.

20 spots are available and classes will be virtually held every other week from April 21 through October 27. To participate, small businesses must:

  • Be located in Georgia 
  • Generate revenues between $250,000 and $10 million
  • Have been in business for at least two years
  • Have at least one employee besides the CEO participant
  • Attend 13 workshops and seven mentoring sessions
  • Complete required coursework and time commitments (can't miss more than two sessions)
