Hispanic Heritage Month is important because it highlights the work and the accomplishments of the Latino community, recently as well as throughout the years. The U.S. Dept of Commerce shows 3.3 million Hispanic- owned businesses in the United States as Hispanics have become the fastest-growing small business owners across the U.S.!

Learn about the US Air Force’s AFWERX initiative that offers a rare opportunity for small, innovative companies — including student-led startups — to apply for funding to advance technologies that the companies believe would serve the Air Force’s mission. The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program enables small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides the incentive to profit from its commercialization.
