State Economic Recovery Grants Increased to $150,000

On August 18, the grant award maximum for the Economic Recovery Grants was increased to $150,000 total (or $100,000 more than the existing maximum). Business that already received a $50,000 grant from the Vermont Department of Taxes may request the additional grant funding by submitting a short supplemental application on myVTax

Sept 30 deadline for 2020 Census

Vermont has one of the lowest response rates in the country filling out the U.S. Census. Thirty percent of VT households have yet to respond or be counted by an enumerator. 

The 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding every year, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade

Restart Vermont Regional Marketing and Stimulus Grants

The Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development recently launched the Restart Vermont Regional Marketing and Stimulus Grant Program, and is offering grants to organizations for efforts and activities related to economic recovery, consumer stimulus, marketing, or tourism projects to support businesses that have suffered economic harm due to COVID-19. Agriculture and Working Lands Assistance Grants

The application is now open for the $8.5 million in relief funding made available for farmers, sugar makers, meat and poultry processors, slaughterhouses, farmers markets, agricultural food products businesses, forest products businesses, and producer associations to cover losses and expenses caused by the COVID-19 public health emergency. Apply now through the Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets.
