Empowerment Workshops

Workshops offered late August - December!

Join the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Native American Affairs (ONAA) and Sister Sky, Inc. for Empowerment Workshops designed to help Native entrepreneurs and business owners start and grow their businesses!

These free workshops are virtual and are offered as either a full two-day workshop or shorter class days spread out over four weeks.

Sister Sky Inc. is an SBA-certified 8(a), Native American and women owned company. The company’s founders are two sisters, Monica Simeon and Maria TurningRobe, both of which are enrolled citizens of the Spokane Tribe in Washington State. They are responsible for growing their initially home-based business, which was created from drawing upon traditional knowledge and herbs to create natural soaps, lotions and shampoos for health and wellness, into a nationally distributed large-scale manufactured product line. Harnessing their entrepreneurial knowledge and academic training, Sister Sky Inc. has further diversified their company to include delivering empowerment and enrichment services to Native American and disadvantaged communities through culturally-conscious training, technical assistance, event management and communications. Their team includes a list of well-qualified specialists, trainers, coordinators, tribal liaisons and subject matter experts.
