SBA Office of Advocacy Releases the 2020 Nebraska Small Business Profile

Each year, the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy gathers the most recent economic data for each state to create an in-depth, user-friendly snapshot of each state's small business employment, industry and economic growth statistics.

The 2020 Nebraska Small Business Profile has just been released and largely showcases economic information collected before the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the 4th quarter of 2019, Nebraska grew at an annual rate of 2.6% - faster than the overall US growth rate of 2.1%. While higher than April of last year, the April 2020 unemployment rate in Nebraska was 8.3% - well below the national April 2020 unemployment rate of 14.7%.

All state profiles are available here.

The SBA Office of Advocacy is the independent voice for small business within the federal government, the watchdog of the Regulatory Flexibility Act, and a source of small business statistics and research. Advocacy advances the views and concerns of small business before Congress, the White House, federal agencies, federal courts, and policy makers.
