Shop Small Business Saturday

Ahead of Small Business Saturday, we visited area businesses with a local agency, Discover Saint Louis Park, working to help promote people coming to, and spending money in, their area. Thanks to their introduction, we are excited to share a few local small business owners who are working to create positive change in the Walker Lake Business District.

End-of-Year Checklist for Small Businesses

It's the time to reflect on the past few months, and set goals for the upcoming year. Preparing for the year to come will ensure steady growth for your business. Check out this article from our partners at the SBDC for a list of five things you can do to help ensure 2020 get's off to a good start.

NonProfit Resources in Minnesota

At the SBA we often get questions from entrepreneurs and business owners on a wide variety of topics, including those interested in starting or growing a nonprofit. And while that's not in our wheelhouse, we care about getting you the information you need to succeed.

We recently meet with Propel Nonprofits to learn about them and the efforts of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits so that we could have a better understanding of when to refer them as a resource. Both organizations offer robust programing to help individuals and organizations navigate the complexities of the nonprofit world.
