The U.S. Small Business Administration El Paso District Office will be presenting the following webinars and training opportunities to assist you in developing your firm and to bring you information on programs that may be of interest to you. 

Each month there are several different topics at no cost.

8(a) Business Development Program – August 1, 2019 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. MST

Florence, Suite 201, El Paso, TX 79901 - If you are a socially and economically disadvantaged owned/operated firm and are interested in developing your existing business and doing business with the federal government, consider applying for the 8(a) Business Development Program.

DHS/CBP IMAGE Program – August 8, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. MST

DHS/CBP Conference Room, 11541 Montana Avenue, El Paso, TX  79936 - With the passage of the Immigration Reform and Control Act in 1986, employers in the U. S. and its territories are required to hire only authorized workers.  Employers are required to document their employees’ identities and work eligibility on the Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 (Form I-9) within three days of hire.  Violations of Immigration law can expose employers to possible civil and criminal penalties.

8(a) Federal Surplus Property Program (WEBINAR) – August 13, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. MST

If you are a current 8(a) Program Participant and would like to acquire machinery and/or equipment to assist you in performing on contracts, this program will help you identify government-used equipment at a fraction of the price of a brand new piece of equipment.

Proposal Preparation – Writing Winning Proposals – August 14, 2019, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. MST

El Paso Community College Administrative Services Center, Bldg. B-445 Conference Room, 9050 Viscount Blvd., El Paso, TX 79925.  In this proposal preparation training, we will help you demystify the nuances of RFPs, exposed you to a proposal preparation process that helps you submit a proposal offer that complies with the federal agency’s RFP terms and conditions, give you tips and tools of the trade, and position you to increase your chances of winning your next contract.  Training provided by the El Paso Community College Contract Opportunities Center.) HUBZone & WOSB/EDWOSB Government Contracting Program - August 15, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. MST

SBA El Paso District Office, 211 N. Florence, Suite 201, El Paso, TX 79901 - If you qualify for the HUBZone Government Contracting Program, I highly encourage you to apply for this program.  The program will be discussed in detail during this webinar.  If you are a Woman-Owned and/or an Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned small business and are interested in doing business with the federal government, consider applying for this contracting program.
