Funding

In this workshop learn various funding options for your small business.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) works with approved lenders and community development organizations to offer SBA-guaranteed loans to help small businesses start, grow, expand, and recover. SBA funding helps small businesses acquire more competitive terms, lower down payments, and flexible overhead requirements. In addition SBA offers resource partner programs to provide counseling and education to small businesses.

Attendees will also learn about the participating Nonprofit Community Micro lender - PeopleFund. Entrepreneurs can borrow from $500 to $50,000 and access free business counseling from SBA micro lenders. If you need working capital or funds for supplies, equipment, fixtures and furniture, a microloan can help eligible businesses start up and grow.

Furthermore, the workshop will cover SBA’s disaster loan program which is available to small businesses, homeowners, and renters after a declared disaster. Lastly, learn about government contracting opportunities and free business counseling services.

There is no cost for the workshop, and all are welcome. Bring your lunch!
