U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and U.S. Small Business Administration Team Up to Discuss Federal Procurement Opportunities in College Park, Maryland on June 14

Join the Washington Metropolitan Area District Office (WMADO) of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on Friday, June 14, 2019 for a series of activities to help small businesses learn about federal procurement opportunities with HHS and its top large business prime contractors.

Attendees will learn federal contracting basics, gain insight into the proposal development process, and be able to attend one-on-one networking/matchmaking sessions with key contacts in the federal acquisition space. In addition, SBA representatives will provide an overview of various small business designations and related set-aside programs, including HUBZone and Women-Owned Small Business certifications, as well as the 8(a) Business Development Program. Other topics include Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs), SBA’s All Small Mentor-Protégé Program, and lender and loan contract financing programs.
