Becoming a government contractor is a tremendous opportunity for small business owners. Government contracting is an excellent way to diversify your business portfolio while adding more customers. It is required by law to provide opportunities for small businesses.

Join us and participate in this informative workshop that can open the door to a new business opportunity and customer! Plus, learn about the SBA's small business contracting programs, including the:

  • 8(a) Business Development Program
  • Women-Owned Small Business Program (WOSB)

Salute to Small Business is a National Small Business Week event that is organized by the SBA South Carolina District Office, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, SCORE, South Carolina Research Authority, Small Business Development Center, and the South Carolina Department of Commerce. The event starts off with a Procurement Matchmaker in morning, followed by the awards luncheon in the afternoon.

“Our goal is to honor and recognize our winners for their hard work and dedication to advancing the small business community," said Gregg White, District Director for the SBA South Carolina District Office. "Most importantly, we appreciate the jobs and opportunities they continue to create for the South Carolina economy. We also value our lenders who provide the funding that is necessary for businesses to start, grow, and expand."

Each year since 1963, the president has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of National Small Business Week. National Small Business Week will be observed May 5-11, 2019, with events in Washington, D.C., around the country and online.
