Four Last-Minute Ways to Delight Holiday Shoppers

Research shows between 30 and 45 percent of people wait to do their holiday shopping until the week before Christmas. This means it's not too late for you to make a last minute gift pitch and take the time to delight your holiday shoppers.

The following are our top four favorite tips taken from the SBA Twitter Chat on  holiday marketing ideas:

  1. Offer last-minute holiday discount codes - a tried and true way to get people in the door. Last-minute shoppers especially enjoy a good deal.
  2. Add a charitable element to any of your promotions - let shoppers know when they purchase your products or services that a portion of the profits go to benefit an organization in need this time of year.
  3. Harness the power of online reviews - make sure you promote your great feedback on social media, and always ask your delighted customers to write a review for you.
  4. Always include thank you notes, or even personalized cards when the customer tells you their order is a gift - it’s an easy way to wow your customers.
