New Veterans Business Outreach Center to Serve Kentucky

VBOC

A Veterans Business Outreach Center just opened in the region. The VBOC will provide entrepreneurship training and counseling to transitioning service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses or survivors living in KY & TN.

New Lender Relations Specialist Joins SBA Kentucky District Office

District Director Ralph Ross welcomes Sharron Johnson (left) to the Kentucky SBA District office as a new Lender Relations Specialist. 

Sharron’s career includes advocating on behalf of entrepreneurs, providing small business development as well as training, program management, small business coaching and MWBE inclusion.

Her most recent role involved managing the MWBE’s inclusion and compliance program for the Kentucky International Convention Center expansion project. Prior to that, she was Director of the Women’s Business Center of Kentucky.

IRS Urges Paycheck Checkup Today

Tax cuts went into effect in January and included many changes. The IRS urges taxpayers to visit the Withholding Calculator on IRS.gov and do a "paycheck checkup" now. This may save you from having too much or too little withheld in taxes.
