Somerville Engineers in Residence Program:

We all know Massachusetts is the place to come if you’re a maker, inventor, or have a great idea. Nowhere is this truer than in Northeast Massachusetts, home to a dense advanced manufacturing cluster, and Somerville, a thriving hub of hardware startups, makerspaces, and legacy manufacturing. We want to make your path to commercialization easier. Form to Factory partners, a collaboration between the City of Somerville, Greentown Labs, and the Northeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium with support from the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Mass MEP) invites business owners involved in the creation of a physical product to take part in the “Engineers-in-Residence” program.

No matter what you’re building, if you have plans to commercialize, we can help. With in-house expertise provided by Mass MEP and our on-call list of engineers we can work with you to solve your prototyping and business planning needs. As part of the program, Form to Factory partners can provide up to $10,000 in subsidy per project.

This program is application-based and is focused on companies in Middlesex County, Essex County, and Boston. Applications are rolling. For more details and to apply, please follow this link.
