This is a reminder that the USPTO is hosting a full-day Patent Quality Conference: Advancing Patent Quality Across the
IP Community at the USPTO Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia on
Tuesday, December 13, 2016. If you want to attend, please register to ensure a spot at the conference.
The program, in partnership with Duke and Santa Clara
Law Schools, will feature:
- An opening address by USPTO
Director Michelle K. Lee on Advancing Quality in the IP Community
- Presentations by USPTO senior
executives on the results of many of the programs of the Enhanced Patent
Quality Initiative
- Four panel discussions,
including a panel discussion with current and former federal judges on
patent quality and its impact on the U.S. courts as well as an
international panel discussing international quality efforts
- Ethics training on
professional responsibility and practice before the USPTO
This event is free and open to the public and can be attended
in person or remotely via webcast.
An application is currently pending for 3 Virginia Continuing
Legal Education (CLE) credits, including 1 ethics credit.
