Mid-Atlantic Regional Health Equity Council’s (RHEC III) Health Equity Hero Award

RHEC III has opened nominations for its 2017 Health Equity Hero Award. The award recognizes the exemplary achievement of individuals in Region III who support community efforts in the goal of ending health disparities and promoting health equity. If you would like to nominate someone, you can do so until October 6, 2017.

Mid-Atlantic Regional Health Equity Council (RHEC III) Seeks New Members

RHEC III would like to fill one or more vacancies in each of the six states in the region: Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia who are dedicated to addressing health disparities in the region. The deadline to submit an application to become a member of RHEC III is October 6, 2017.

There is Still Time to Apply to the Heartland Regional Health Equity Council (RHEC VII)

RHEC VII would like to fill one or more vacancies in each of the four states in the region: Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. RHEC VII plays a critical role in coordinating and enhancing state and local efforts to address health disparities and the social determinants of health at the regional level. Apply by October 9, 2017.

Oct.  27 – 28: Mayo Clinic Equity and Inclusion in Healthcare Conference 2017

This two-day conference will feature keynote presentations, roundtable discussions, and experiential workshops. Participants will examine their own knowledge and beliefs on diversity and inclusion and gain insights into the rationale and importance of creating a culture of inclusion for employees and patients.
