The Oral Health Workgroup would like to announce Becca Matusovich as the 2017 Oral
Health Equity Hero Award recipient. The
Oral Health Equity Hero award recognizes the exemplary achievement of individuals
and/or organizations that support community efforts to promote oral health
equity and eliminate oral health disparities.
Heartland Regional
Health Council (RHEC VII) Signs MOU with the HRSA Region VII Midwestern Public
Health Training Center
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) between RHEC VII and the
HRSA Region VII Midwestern Public Health Training Center (Region VII MPHTC) at
the University of Iowa College of Public Health was recently signed. The goal
of the collaboration is to address health disparities across Region 7 (Iowa,
Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska).
The Pacific and
Southwest Regional Health Equity Council (PSWRHEC) Signs Operating Agreement
The
PSWRHEC signed entered into an agreement with Public
Health Foundation Enterprises, Inc. (PHFE), a 501(c)(3) California
nonprofit corporation. PHFE will provide management and oversight for the
financial and administrative aspects of programs implemented by PSWRHEC.

Regional Health Equity Council (RHEC VII) Released a Health Equity Resource Guide
As
part of its efforts to educate and to enhance the understanding of health
equity and health disparities, RHEC VII’s Health Equity Committee developed a
Health Equity Resource Guide that contains articles, publications and training
materials that include webinars as well as other resources aimed at facilitating
change.
