- The NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson got underway from the Port of Cleveland on 03OCT2022 and transited through the Welland Canal to Lake Ontario to conduct survey operations on OPR-W386-TJ-22!

- NOAA Ship Ferdinand R. Hassler returned to the survey ground after an early departure due to Hurricane Ian.

- Ship continued survey operations on H13599 and H13601.
Looking Forward

Ferdinand R. Hassler will conduct their last week of survey acquisition for the 2022 field season.
- Plan to complete bottom samples on sheets H13597, H13599, and H13601. H13601 is nearly complete with just a few remaining holidays to acquire. Plan is to continue survey until scheduled departure from working grounds for Hassler to return to New Castle, NH for the winter.
THOMAS JEFFERSON
OPR-W386-TJ-22 Approaches to Cleveland, OH
Recap
- The NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson got underway from the Port of Cleveland on 03OCT2022 and transited through the Welland Canal to Lake Ontario to conduct survey operations on OPR-W386-TJ-22 acquiring on H13672 and H13674.

- Prior to transiting, the ship completed sheet clean up on H13687 and H13614.

Thomas Jefferson will continue acquiring multibeam on sheets H13672, H13673, and H13674 prior to transiting to Norfolk, VA on 12OCT2022.
Fairweather

- NOAA Ship Fairweather conducted UxS operations in Sumner Strait in tandem with data collection on H13668 and H13666.

OPR-E347-KR-22 Central Chesapeake Bay, MD |
Recap
- The 30’ vessel R/V Oyster Bay II continued survey operations. Sheet decisions were based on weather conditions. Weather delays were incurred on 02OCT2022 through 05OCT2022.
- Survey commenced of the R/V Sea Innovator I on Sheet 6 (H13516). Weather delays were incurred on 02OCT2022 through 04OCT2022.
- The vessel returned to port 07OCT2022 for a one-day crew rotation.
