Recap:

  • NOAA Ship Fairweather transited from Juneau to sheet H13536 in West Prince of Wales, Alaska.

OPR-R320-KR-22 Cape Newenham, AK

Recap

  • R/V Norseman II, R/V Thunder, WAM-V 22, and the Vessel of Opportunity (VOOP) have been demobilized.
  • The VOOP was demobilized on 25SEPT2022 following the decision to end the survey due to safety.
  • JOA Staff completed the removal of the Togiak, AK tide station on 30SEPT2022.
  • Office staff continued processing and reporting.

  • JOA staff will complete the Goodnews Bay, AK tide gauge removal trip.

 OPR-E347-KR-22 Central Chesapeake Bay, MD

Recap

  •  The 30’ vessel R/V Oyster Bay II continued survey operations. Sheet decisions were based on weather conditions. Weather delays were incurred on 29SEPT2022 through 01OCT2022 as a result of the remnant effects of Hurricane Ian.
  • Mobilization of the R/V Sea Innovator I continued with at sea testing starting on 28SEPT2022. The vessel returned to port on 30SEPT2022 as a result of the remnant effects of Hurricane Ian.

Looking Forward

  • Anticipate weather delays for 2-3 days early this week.
  • Continue survey operations on the R/V Oyster Bay II.

  • Complete data evaluation of sea tests of the R/V Sea Innovator I.

  • R/V Sea Innovator I to commence survey acquisition in the Chesapeake Bay, MD.
