OPR-W386-TJ-22 Approaches to Cleveland, OH

  • The NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson conducted survey operations on OPR-W386-TJ-22 acquiring on sheets H13682, H13687, and H13614.

Looking Forward

  • Thomas Jefferson, DriX, and 2903 will continue conducting survey operations on OPR-W386-TJ-22 prior to arriving at the Port of Cleveland on 28SEPT2022.

OPR-R320-KR-22 Cape Newenham, AK

Recap

  • R/V Norseman II, R/V Thunder, and WAM-V 22 have been demobilized.
  • Crew traveled to Goodnews Bay Alaska on 21SEPT2022 and mobilized a Vessel of Opportunity on 22SEPT2022.
  • Main scheme acquisition continued in H13563. On the Vessel of Opportunity, partial days of survey occurred on 23SEPT2022, 24SEPT2022 due to weather and sea state conditions.
  • JOA staff continued to remotely monitor the tide stations. Office staff
    continued processing and reporting.

Looking Forward

  • JOA staff will monitor tide stations remotely and prepare for the gauge removal trip at the end of September.
  • eTrac staff will prepare for the VOOP operation trip to Goodnews Bay to collect missing data later this month.
  • Office staff will continue processing and reporting.

 OPR-E347-KR-22 Central Chesapeake Bay, MD

Recap

  •  The 30’ vessel R/V Oyster Bay II continued survey operations. Sheet decisions were based on weather conditions. Weather delays were incurred on 22SEPT2022 and 23SEPT2022 as a result of the edge effects of Hurricane Fiona.
  • The 135’ vessel R/V Sea Innovator I arrived in Baltimore, MD on 19SEPT2022.
  • Hydrographic Survey crew travelled to Baltimore Monday 19SEPT2022.
  • Mobilization of the R/V Sea Innovator I commenced.

Looking Forward

  • Continue survey operations on the R/V Oyster Bay II.

  • Complete mobilization of the R/V Sea Innovator I.

  • At sea testing and calibration of the R/V Sea Innovator I survey systems and commence survey acquisition in the Chesapeake Bay, MD.
