OPR-W386-TJ-22 Approaches to Cleveland, OH

- NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson conducted survey operations on OPR-W386-TJ-22, acquiring on sheets H13609, H13616, and H13617. The ship completed acquisition on H13616.

RAINIER
OPR-T381-RA-22 Mariana Islands
Recap
- NOAA Ship Rainier is continuing to survey H13575 (Saipan Harbor), H13572 (Saipan), H13578 (Pagan), H13579 (Maug), and H13586 (Anatahan) while conducting dive operations.

- H13581 (Asuncion) was opened and the ship was able to get work done on the windward and leeward side of all the islands.
- To date, Rainier has surveyed 3,462 SNM and 6,100 LNM on project.
Looking Forward
- NOAA Ship Rainier will continue work on H13572 (Saipan), H13573 (Tinian), H13576 (Rota) while also conducting dive operations. The ship makes a port call on 02JUN through 07JUN2022 to swap diver teams, load stores, and bunker.

Recap
- R/V Benthos collected mainscheme multibeam survey data in the nearshore portions of H13635 and H13636. She completed mainscheme lines in the planned nearshore portion of H13635 and will conduct investigations, recoveries, and crosslines in H13635 when weather permits.
- Data processing and reporting was conducted at GDX.
- Geodynamics operations team focused on the RV Substantial transit and logistics planning.
Looking Forward
- R/V Benthos will continue the inshore MBES survey in the H13636.
- R/V Substantial team will work on overall planning, logistics, and preparations to start planned transit to Great Lakes next week.
OPR-R320-KR-22 Cape Newenham, AK

Recap
- R/V Norseman II completed full days of MBES data acquisition 5/23 - 5/28.
- The WAM-V 22 completed full days of survey on 5/22 - 5/24, partial days on 5/25 and 5/26 due to mechanical issues and seastate conditions, and no survey on 5/27 and 5/28 due to weather.
- R/V Thunder began MBES data acquisition and had full days of survey on 5/23 - 5/26, and a partial day of survey on 5/27 before transiting to Bethel for fuel and resupply.
- Office staff continued processing and reporting.
Looking Forward
- All vessels will find a safe place to meet for a gear and supply transfer from R/V Thunder to R/V Norseman II.
- R/V Norseman II and WAM-V 22 will complete mainscheme and cross-line data acquisition in H13465 and continue MBES data acquisition in H13567 & H13568.
- R/V Thunder will continue MBES data acquisition in H13564 and begin MBES data acquisition in H13563.
- Office staff will continue processing and reporting.
