Highlights of this edition

  • NOAA Ship Rainier finished the transit to Guam, onboarded the National Coral Reef Monitoring Program (NCRMP) scientists, and opened sheets H13571 (Guam) and H13574 (Apra Harbor). 
  • NOAA Ship Ferdinand R. Hassler arrived on project for OPR-J350-FH-22 Northern Gulf of Mexico, and commenced mainscheme acquisition.

  • Commenced acquisition across sheets H13620, H13622, H13625, and H13626. Completed the backscatter reference surface.

Looking Forward

  • NOAA Ship Ferdinand R. Hassler will continue working sheets H13620, H13622, H13625, and H13626. She will transit to Pascagoula, MS on 14APR2022 for next port call.

  • NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson was able to get underway for three days of Operational Readiness Training (ORT). The ship returned to MOC-A briefly.

Looking Forward
  • NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson will be underway on 10APR2022 transiting the Chesapeake Delaware Canal and doing 1 more day of Operational Readiness Training prior to heading north to survey Pollock Rip Channel at the request of the USCG.
