‘Trusted Messengers, Trusted Messages’: How To Overcome Vaccine Hesitancy
As the first COVID-19 vaccines begin to be rolled out across the U.S., community leaders in diverse groups are already working hard to dispel misinformation and reach skeptics with truth. The Societal Experts Action Network (SEAN) of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine hosted a webinar featuring researchers and policymakers discussing vaccine confidence, hesitancy, and messaging best practices. The National Academies also touched on their Framework for Equitable Allocation of Vaccine for the Novel Coronavirus, now available online.
Valerie Montgomery Rice, M.D., president and dean of Morehouse School of Medicine, is one of the featured panelists in the “Building Vaccine Confidence to Advance Equity” discussion.
